UPDATE FROM PASTOR!

Greetings!

Welcome to St. John United Church of Christ where together "In Christ we live, celebrate, and serve". During the challenges presented by Covid19, we have responded as required and encouraged by government, medical, and church leaders. We take seriously the physical and spiritual health and welfare of God's people. Currently, we celebrate 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship both in-person and through Zoom. Call the Church Office at 618-877-6060 for Zoom information. Sunday School for children is also offered at 9:30 a.m. At this time, masks are optional for worship and our various church activities, organizations, and sponsored programs on site follow the same recommendation. We are committed to obeying Jesus' command to "love one another" through our health practices. 

In our active response, we seek to show the fruits of the Spirit as we live our faith in a world challenged by Covid19 and more troubles. Our faith leads us to address life with "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generostiy, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control", (Galatians 5:22b-23a) and thus, to reflect God's love for all the world. Together, caring for one another, especially those with greater needs, we journey forward and look to the future with the assurance that God is with us always.
